Minimum Viable Effort: What’s the Bare Minimum for a LinkedIn Company Page?
If the idea of maintaining another social media presence makes you want to run for the hills, we hear you. But a neglected LinkedIn page is worse than not having one at all—it signals to potential clients, partners, and employees that your business is inactive.
The good news is that you can show your audience that your business is alive and well without spending hours creating content.
At an absolute minimum, here are the things you should do:
Claim and Set Up Your Page Properly – Ensure your company logo, banner, and details (like website, industry, and contact info) are fully completed. A half-empty profile isn’t doing you any favors.
Tie Employee Profiles to the Company Page – When employees list your company as their workplace, it links back to your page. This boosts credibility and makes your business look more established and helps improve your company page’s visibility.
Keep Content Fresh (Even if It’s Just Once a Month) – You don’t need daily posts, but a completely inactive page won’t inspire confidence. Sharing updates once a week (or even once a month) ensures visitors see an active, engaged company.
Time-Saving Hacks for Managing Your Page
Worried about adding another social channel to your already packed schedule? Good news: You can maximize your company page with minimal extra work.
Repost Content from Your Personal Profile – No need to reinvent the wheel. If you post something valuable on your personal LinkedIn, share it to your company page, too.
Turn Your Best Posts into Evergreen Content – If a post performs well on your personal page, don’t let it get buried in the feed. Repost it to your company page as a “greatest hits” library.
Use Your Company Page to Support Your Personal Brand – Many business owners think it’s the other way around, but your company page can be your biggest cheerleader. Use it to like, comment, and engage with your personal posts.
Beyond Visibility: How a Strong Company Page Impacts Growth
Your LinkedIn company page isn’t just a formality—it’s a powerful tool for business growth and talent acquisition. Here are a few ways it can impact your business’s growth.
Credibility Check for Potential Clients – Many prospects Google your business before making contact. A well-maintained LinkedIn page can reinforce their decision to work with you.
A Recruitment Goldmine – If you’re growing quickly, you will need new team members in a short amount of time. A LinkedIn company page shows potential employees who you are, what you do, and why they should join your team.
An Active, Engaging Brand Presence – Your website might only get updated every few years, but your LinkedIn page can be dynamic, reflecting real-time company wins, culture, and industry expertise.
